What personal data we collect and why we collect

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comment forms, as well as the visitor’s IP address and the user agent string in the Navigator to help us detect spam.

An anonymous string (also called a hash), created from your email addresses, can be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you’re using it. The Gravatar Service Privacy Policy is available here: After the comment is approved, your profile photo is visible to the public next to your comment.

If you leave a comment on our website, you can choose to save your name, email address, and web site cookies. These are for your convenience, so you don’t have to fill them in again when you leave another comment. These cookies will be valid for one year.
